Parent Right-to-Know Information

As a parent or guardian of a student attending a Title I school in Maryville City Schools, you have the right to request information regarding the professional qualifications of your child's classroom teacher(s).

You may request information regarding:

• Whether the teacher has met Tennessee qualification and licensing requirements for the grade levels and subject areas in which the teacher provides instruction;
• Whether the teacher is teaching under an emergency or provisional status through which state qualification or licensing requirements have been waived;
• The bachelor's degree major of the teacher and any other graduate certification or degree held by the teacher, including the field of discipline of the certification or degree; and
• Whether your child is provided services by paraprofessionals and, if so, their qualifications.

Parents or guardians who would like to request this information may contact their child's school or the Maryville City Schools Central Office.
